Eat, Drink, Take an Art Class at Raw Canvas!

I will teaching mixed media painting classes at Raw Canvas in March. Raw Canvas is a really cool wine / tapas bar in Yaletown and registration is through them.

On its most basic level, art is visual expression. This course focuses on the capacity to be expressive. Using a variety of media, students will explore drawing, painting, and collage during which live jazz guitar will be performed and plenty of wine is available. The dynamic of combining mediums is the focus of this course. A series of projects, reinforced with technical assistance, will enable students to fully explore this exciting approach to making art. Classes are small for lots of individual attention.

All supplies will be provided which includes 2 canvases (choice of sizes available are 24x18, 30x15, 20x20)

4 Sunday sessions from 3-6 pm, $250 + hst

Mixed Media classes at Coal Harbour Community Centre

South Arm Community Centre mosaics soon to be installed!!

They have been in storage for almost a year but are finally going up. I couldn't be happier. Here is a glimpse of some of the pieces laid out on the floor. This is the "Community in Motion" section. There are 24 smaller pieces of birds, insects & flowers as well.

No Coal Harbour installation today

Looks like the installation won't be happening until spring. The temperature needs to be above 10C for 72 hours.

I will be starting the installation today around 11 am. Those of you who were interested in this process can come down to help or watch. Wear something you don't mind getting dirty!
